vegas, maybe?
I mentioned in my last post that I’m in Las Vegas for work. Two of my best girlfriends decided to come in and stay a couple of nights here because they love spending time with me SO MUCH.
Actually, they’re pretty much just here for the free room since I’m working but hey, we’ll get to meet up in the evenings, right? RIGHT?
That would have been super awesome if I hadn’t woken up yesterday with the fever shakes and unable to get out of bed between the hours of 7am and 5am the next morning.
Yeah, I was sick. I’ve never been sick at a work meeting before and it really wasn’t my best look.
So this is what it looks like when you are sick with a fever in Las Vegas with two not-sick girlfriends who are ready to party.
Here’s the view of them from my bedside vantage point.
Sad. So very, very sad.
We did manage to have some fun before they went out, though. Here’s what it looks like when our skinny friend decides that it’s been a full 12 hours since her last work-out and feels the need to go hit the hotel gym before going out but gave EXPLICIT ORDERS to her other friends to NOT TOUCH HER WHITE HAT while she’s gone:
Sorry, Laurie. We tried really hard not to touch the hat. But also? We had to pay you back for stepping on the hotel scale in the bathroom and announcing, “I gained weight! AWESOME!”
Desperate times call for desperate measures, people.
Oh and P.S. Pink Polka Dot Pants fell in love. Don’t they make such a cute couple?
The good news is that I think I’ve managed to sweat the fever out and am going to give it my fightin’ best tonight.

Oh my girl! Being sick is such a drag and sick in Vegas?! Boo! And with the pressure of a work conference? Sucksville. But at least you had your buddies with you. Get well quick!
That sucks that you got sick! And, obviously you had to touch the hat. Hope you get to see O or doing something more fun than sweating in your bed!
Feel better! Although judging by this post, you’re halfway there. Me? Oh, thanks for asking: I’ve spent most of the day Googling moonshine jug vectors trying to make grid badges and challenge winners badges to match my new logo since my graphic designer ran away from home last week. I was absolutely unsuccessful. I hope she regrets her impetuous vacation and returns sooner than later.

My bf eats like a cow and has a hard time gaining weight so I sympathize and respect but also despise hearing “I lost weight. DAMMIT!!” or “I gained weight. AWESOME!” and totally understand the need to wear their hats and vent
He eats ALL THE FOOD and I drink a glass a water. He loses weight, I gain it. Something is wrong with this picture.
